Is Nivalis Nights multiplayer or co-op?
No. It is single-player only, and the developers say no multiplayer or co-op features are planned.
How do I make money fast in Nivalis Nights?
Put a drink on every menu, raise prices while seats stay full, grow your own ingredients, and sell your starting apartment furniture. The biggest single payout is the shady-landlord side quest, where clearing the landlord's apartment sells for 15,000 to 40,000 lims. Full breakdown on the money guide.
Why is my manager not restocking, or spending all my money?
Managers buy every ingredient on your menu and need cash to do it, so keep about 1,000 lims in the bank and keep the menu small. A fridge full of rotten food also blocks restocking. The launch bug where managers placed duplicate orders was patched around October 2.
How do I fish in Nivalis Nights?
Get the free rusty rod from Ady at the Docks (or buy one for about 100 lims at the Stacks), then cast where you see glowing fish on the water. Three fish bite anywhere; the other 21 need a specific district, weather and time of day.
What time is curfew, and what happens if I get caught?
Curfew starts at 02:00 and lasts until you sleep. If cameras fill your security bar you are fined the next morning, about 50 to 60 lims. Press C during curfew to see shelters where you can sleep if you cannot reach home.
Is Nivalis Nights on PS5, Xbox or Switch?
Not yet. It is PC only on Steam. The FAQ says PC is the main focus and the team is looking into other platforms. It can be streamed on GeForce NOW.
Can you customise your character in Nivalis Nights?
No. There is no character creator. You play in first person and only your arms and hands are visible.
Who do you play in Nivalis Nights? Can you play as a woman?
You play an unnamed new owner of a Lowtown noodle bar, seen only in first person. There is no character creator and no choice of gender or look; the developers say only your arms and hands are visible.
Is Nivalis Nights open world?
Partly. You can explore 18 districts and the sea by boat, but the developers say it is not fully open world. Travel between districts has a loading screen; inside a district you can walk into most businesses. You cannot drive cars, but you pilot your own boat. New districts unlock with achievement points.
Can you romance characters in Nivalis Nights?
Yes. Choices decide whether a relationship becomes friendship, partnership, rivalry or romance. Players have confirmed a date with Zaff (Zaffer) at five hearts, and Ava can gain hearts; our romance page tracks what is confirmed.
Does Nivalis Nights have a photo mode?
Yes. It has a photo mode with filter, focus distance, aperture and grain controls, and some quests ask you to take photos.
Is there a time limit on quests?
No. Quests have no time limit and can be ignored while you run your business. Hold J to hide the quest list.
How long is Nivalis Nights?
There is no official length. The developers say it has a defined main story with an ending, reached by different paths, plus 130-plus characters and about 100 quests. One Steam forum player finished the story in five in-game days, while players running several venues report 40-plus days. The sandbox keeps going after the story.
How big is Nivalis Nights?
The developers' May 2026 devlog counts over 240 ingredients, 190 meals, 100 quests and 620 furniture items, and their March 2026 Q&A says more than 130 characters.
Is Nivalis Nights first person or third person?
First person only. The developers confirmed in their November 2024 devlog that there is no third-person mode.
Does Nivalis Nights need an internet connection?
No, apart from what Steam needs for updates. Cloud saves are supported and use the connection when available.
